Hi, I’m Lauren Jones, the heart and hands behind Love of Luverne. My passion for restoring and cherishing traditional homes began in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, where I grew up in an old farmhouse that my family lovingly renovated over the years. Watching my parents tackle every project themselves inspired my deep appreciation for craftsmanship and the transformative power of thoughtful design.

In 2013, I met my husband, Carlton, during our freshman year at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. We’ve been partners in life and creativity ever since. When we married in 2020—amid the chaos of the pandemic—we decided to put the money saved from a traditional wedding toward a lifelong dream: buying our 1920s colonial home on Luverne.

Together with our son, Graham, and our grumpy but lovable pup, Theo, we’re creating a space that reflects our love for timeless design, history, and family. My design philosophy blends traditional elegance with a sense of softness and warmth. I believe that beautiful homes should be approachable, never stuffy, and filled with character.

With Carlton’s engineering expertise and my vision, we take a hands-on approach to our renovations, learning and growing through every project. At Love of Luverne, I aim to share our journey and inspire others to find joy in crafting spaces that honor the past while welcoming the future—a place where family connections thrive and memories are made for generations to come.
